Beware of the
Writings and Tapes of Manly P. Hall
BEWARE OF THE WRITINGS AND TAPES OF MANLY
P. HALL and the continuing propagation of error through The Philosophical Research Society
of Los Angeles, California which he founded in 1934. The latest PRS catalog describes Hall
as "a philosopher of great vision and knowledge. The author of more than two hundred
volumes, he wrote prolifically on an array of subjects, including Western and Eastern
religions and mysticism, classical philosophy, personal psychology, et cetera." His
major work is called THE SECRET TEACHINGS OF ALL AGES which the catalog describes as
"An Encyclopedic Outline of Masonic, Hermetic, Quabbalistic, & Rosicrucian
Symbolical Philosophy." Hall died in 1990 and since he believed in reincarnation, it
would not be too surprising to hear a claim that he has returned to continue his
diabolical and deceptive teachings in another body. The Bible teaches resurrection but not
reincarnation.

Billy Graham's Amazing
Contradictory Advice
BILLY GRAHAM'S AMAZING CONTRADICTORY ADVICE was set forth
in an editorial he wrote for the 40th anniversary edition of Christianity Today, September
16, 1996. The headline of his editorial read: STANDING FIRM, MOVING FORWARD, with this
explanation -- "CT founder, Billy Graham charts the course for evangelicalism's
future." In this editorial Dr. Graham attempted to answer the question, "Where
will evangelicalism be in another 40 years...?" In a six point answer, the fifth
point was: "It will depend on our faithfulness to God. One of the hallmarks of
evangelicals has always been our commitment to the Bible as the unique and authoritative
Word of God...." Point six was: "The future impact of evangelicals will depend
on our steadfastness...." Standing firm, moving forward? Neither Graham nor the
evangelical movement has stood firm on the Word of God. Compromise has been his hallmark
and that of evangelicalism, not fidelity to the Scriptures. Oh yes, they have moved and
are moving forward numerically and financially. Nevertheless, Dr. Graham has done more to
promote polluted Bible versions, legitimize the devil's music, advocate working with those
who preach a false gospel or add to the Word of God, than any other person. And as the
acknowledged leader of the evangelical movement these past forty years, most of his
followers have been carried along with him into abject disobedience to the Scriptures. The
current evangelical movement is headed for God's judgment, not His blessing. Don't be
deceived by the pious-sounding rhetoric of any religious leader when it serves to please
the masses yet obviously lacks concern for what is true to the Word, and therefore, what
is pleasing to God.

Dr. Jerry
Falwell, Formerly A Supposed Fundamentalist, Had Only The Highest Words Of Praise For Dr.
Billy Graham
Dr. Jerry Falwell, formerly a supposed
fundamentalist, had only the highest words of praise for Dr. Billy Graham when Graham
brought the commencement address on May 3rd at Falwells Liberty University. A report
in the Washington Times included a photo of William Franklin Graham IV being congratulated
by his father and grandfather upon his graduation from Liberty University in Lynchburg,
VA. Jerry Falwell, also included in the photo, called Dr. Billy Graham "Gods
prophet for this age," and was quoted as saying that Graham may turn out greater than
St. Augustine and Martin Luther when church history is finally written. Both Dr. Falwell
and Dr. Graham will have to answer to God for their flagrant, unabashed disobedience to
His Word, but meanwhile both men must be counted as traitors to the cause of Jesus Christ,
not present or future heroes of the faith. Jude 3, 4.

"Fellowship In Prayer"
- Interfaith Publication
FELLOWSHIP IN PRAYER IS THE TITLE OF AN INTERFAITH
PUBLICATION which says that its purpose is "to encourage and support a spiritual
orientation to life, to promote the practice of prayer, meditation, and service to others,
and to help bring about a deeper spirit of unity among humankind. In its October 1996
issue, a prayer by Anita Wheatcroft is published called: A PRAYER FOR WORLD RELIGIONS. We
quote: "O God, who created all peoples in Your image, We thank You for the wonderful
diversity of race, cultures, and the great religions of the world. Each, at its best,
contains some of the one Light that comes from You. Enrich our lives by ever-widening
circles of understanding and fellowship. Show us Your presence in those who differ most
from us, so we may grow in knowledge of Your love for all Your children. Through Jesus
Christ our Lord. Amen." Amazingly and contradictorily, this interfaith prayer claims
to be made "through Jesus Christ our Lord"; however, it is not biblical and is
contrary to the plain teachings of Jesus Christ. John 8:12, 24. There is no light, no
truth in false religions. Isaiah 8:20.

"Freeing the Bible from
the Land of Absolutes."
That was the caption of an interesting and significant
report in the December 4, 1996, edition of the Los Angeles Times. The subtitle read,
"In his new book, the Rev. Peter Gomes contends that the Scriptures are a tool in an
ever-evolving world, not an inviolate, inflexible text." Gomes is quoted as saying,
"The Bible alone is the most dangerous thing I can think of." In explaining his
efforts to "unthaw" the Bible which he claims "got frozen in time,"
Gomes said, "Its the scary part of religion. People want to give everything
over in return for certainty. But the fact is, the Bible is filled with un-absolute
guarantees." One would think these statements were made by an atheistic humanist, but
Gomes is supposedly an outstanding Bible scholar. Gomes attended Harvard Divinity School,
later returning there as a teacher and the minister of Harvards Memorial Church. The
Times interviewer described him as "An African American and a son of the aristocracy,
a conservative Republican and a Harvard professor, a Baptist minister who could easily
pass for a high church Anglican priest, a gay man by nature but a celibate by
choice." Gomes words and writings clearly reveal him to be a servant of the
devil, not a minister of Christ. All who reject the absolutes of the Bible are left
without any foundation for faith and are only deceiving themselves and others by their
pretentious attitudes and remarks.

India's AIDS Problem Is Getting Worse
ACCORDING TO A REPORT IN WORLD PULSE, INDIA'S AIDS PROBLEM
IS GETTING WORSE. An article in the October 18, 1996 issue says, "By the end of the
decade, perhaps a million people in India will have AIDS, the United Nations predicts. Ten
million could be infected by the AIDS virus. Some Indian experts, however are even less
sanguine, fearing that the ranks of the infected could swell to between 20 million and 50
million. Promiscuity by truckers is driving much of the problem. 'Sex workers are viewed
as bad girls, so if somebody exploits them, that is not something bad, but quite natural,'
one doctor noted." The rapid growth of AIDS worldwide is mainly due to immorality
(sex and drugs) which is considered by many as "natural." However, God calls
this sin; it will produce tragic consequences.
Interfaith Memorial
Service for Roman Catholic Cardinal Joseph Bernadin
THE INTERFAITH MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR ROMAN CATHOLIC
CARDINAL JOSEPH BERNADIN provided another example of how leaders of false religions are
praised when their errors and false teachings should be exposed. An article in the
November 22, 1996, edition of the Chicago Tribune was headed, ECUMENICAL FRIENDS PAY
TRIBUTE. The article reported that Thomas Baima, a Roman Catholic archdiocesan official,
told these interfaith leaders, "We are blessed by your presence." This article
further reported, "Several hundred clerics and laity from 14 religious communities
gathered at Holy Name Cathedral to pay tribute to the Christian leader, who showed them
how to live and taught them how to die. Participants included members of the Native
American, Bahai, Buddhist, Hindu, Jain, Muslim, Sikh, Jewish, Orthodox, Christian and
Protestant communities. Passages from Buddhist, Hindu and Jain sacred texts were read from
the cathedrals lectern and discussions of the communion of the saints were mixed
with thoughts on reincarnation and the karmic cycle." When religious leaders and
their followers reject, add to or take from the Scriptures; when they make no distinction
between clean and unclean and between truth and error, they fall under Gods
condemnation no matter how much praise they receive from men.

Jerry Falwell Is Now
Officially A Southern Baptist
DR. JERRY FALWELL IS NOW OFFICIALLY A SOUTHERN BAPTIST.
Once considered a major leader in the Fundamentalist movement, Falwell's repeated
compromises over the past decade (about which we have warned) have now brought him to the
place where his present position is a repudiation of his original Scriptural foundation.
His trouble began when he formed Moral Majority and began working with various
religionists to fight the growing immorality in our nation. Later, he made serious
compromises to obtain accreditation for his Liberty University and set his sights upon
making his school the largest in the nation. He began fraternizing with so-called
conservative Southern Baptist leaders and now he has sold out to the SBC which is replete
with apostasy and compromise and remains the largest member of the apostate Baptist World
Alliance. When Jim and Tammy Bakker disgraced themselves and their huge following with
their immorality and financial deceit, Falwell, professing to be their friend, stepped in
with the false premise of wanting to help; subsequent events revealed that he actually
tried to take over their television network. Dr. Falwell is a leader to be exposed and
shunned, not praised and supported. We pray he may return to his original position.

Iniquitous Religious
"Scholars" to Issue a "New" New Testament
THE INIQUITOUS RELIGIOUS SCHOLARS OF THE FALSELY NAMED
JESUS SEMINAR ARE PLANNING TO ISSUE A "NEW" NEW TESTAMENT according to reports
coming from their latest seminar that was held October 16-20, 1996, in Santa Rosa,
California. Karen King, professor of religious studies at Occidental College in Los
Angeles, will head future seminars on the topic of the Christian canon and creeds. She was
quoted as saying, "The goal of the Canon Seminar is going to be to produce a new New
Testament by the end of 1999," and claimed that the legitimacy of the canon "has
clearly been undermined by historical criticism over the last couple of centuries."
Dr. Robert Funk, who founded the Jesus Seminar in 1985 and has since been its director,
announced that three new associate directors will assume his responsibilities as the Jesus
Seminar and the Westar Institute "move into the new millennium." In addition to
Karen King, the new leaders will be Roy Hoover, retired professor of Biblical literature
at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington, and Lane McCaughy, professor of religious
and ethical studies at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. It is obvious that the
Jesus Seminar has not deviated from its original goal -- to undermine the Word of God and
to deceive the unwary under the false mantle of science and biblical scholarship. 1
Timothy 6:20, 21; Romans 1:22.

Latino
Graham Crusade Attendance
This was the headline of an article in the
latest issue of Christianity Today reporting Billy Grahams four-day crusade in April
which filled the "Alamodome for the first time in its three-year history." We
quote: "Graham praised the cooperation of Hispanics and Catholics, including an early
endorsement from Archbishop Patrick Flores, the highest ranking Catholic official in
Texas. The Devil has separated us, and a crusade like this is used of God to bring
people of all denominations together, Graham declared in his opening sermon.
We need one another. About 10 percent of the 700 churches that participated in
the crusade were Roman Catholic. In all, 50 denominations took part." How can this be
of God when Romanism proclaims a false gospel? Billy Graham is doing more to boost the
membership and influence of the Roman Catholic Church today than any other individual
anywhere.

"Preacher Says He Purges City
of Demons"
That was the caption of a report in the
November 25, 1996, edition of The Bakersfield Californian, based on an Associated Press
release from Moreno Valley, California. In Moreno Valley, the purging of city demons was
led by Tom Bowers, head of the Walnut-based Prayer Partners International, who claimed God
gave him a list of cities in Southern California and Arizona that are plagued by demons -
Bowers said he has already been to Phoenix, Colton, Pomona, Fontana, San Bernardino,
Rialto, Victorville, Palm Springs and Banning. Following his latest effort, Bowers said,
"You can take it to the bank, Moreno Valley is in a blessed place." The false
notion that "territorial evil spirits" must be cast out by prayer and fasting
before the Gospel can be preached was popularized by Dr. Peter Wagner of Fuller Seminary
and is being practiced by numerous other deceived leaders. Have the demons been cast out
of any or all of the above mentioned cities? Has there been a marked improvement in the
spiritual climate of the area? Of course not! Ask the people who live there. More
deception rather than deliverance is the only result of such unscriptural programs.

Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)
Needs Major Surgery
THE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH (U.S.A.) NEEDS MAJOR SURGERY
according to Youngil Cho, the new PCUSA General Assembly chair whose remarks were
contained in the PCUSA publication News Briefs of October 18, 1996. He proposed "five
concrete steps" as corrective surgery to "reverse trends that show membership,
financial support and trust all declining." These five steps are: (1) A radical
restructuring of the General Assembly mission enterprise. (2) A reduction of the national
staff by two-thirds. (3) The elimination of synods. (4) A reduction in the number of
General Assembly-level entities. (5) The transfer of most functions of the GAC to the
presbyteries. Of the impact of Cho's proposals on church employees throughout the church,
he said, "Many times God sacrificed people to save his people. I believer we can
sacrifice a few people to save this denomination." Despite his dire warnings, Cho
insisted, "The church has hope. The PCUSA is in the hands of God." The only hope
for this church is to go back to the Bible and repudiate liberal leaders like Cho and
others who have long since departed from the "faith once delivered unto the
saints." Jude 3. Once a denomination has embraced liberalism then the
"hope" for that church has departed as well.

and claims to be serving the ''new wine' of Pentecostal
fervor since God supposedly called him to America in 1987 to produce revival in all the
churches. A hallmark of his meetings is what he calls "Holy Laughter,"
supposedly a manifestation of the Holy Spirit but which is actually foolish,
uncontrollable laughter-the dangerous product of a false spirit. However, his ministry and
false teachings continue to multiply and we plan to expose his deceptions in future
editions of FOUNDATION magazine.

The Vox Populi Marzae Mediatrici International
Update/Newsletter for January 1997 reports that "435 Bishops (including 4
cardinals) and over 4 million faithful" are already on record as having petitioned
Pope John Paul II to proclaim this "Marian Dogma" by 2000A.D.The Roman Catholic
publication Queen of Peace in its special edition III in the Fall of 1995, quoted
the pope as saying, "Mary most holy, the highly favored daughter of the Father will
appear before the eyes of believers (in 1999, the third and final year of preparation) as
the perfect model of love toward both God and neighbor so that they will return to the
house of the Father . . . The mother of fairest love, will be for Christians on the way to
the Great Jubilee of the third millennium the star which safely guides their steps to the
Lord." God willing, in future editions of FOUNDATION, we will give further
information documenting the practice of mariolatry (Mary worship) by the pope and his
followers.

Should the WCC be Replaced by a
New Global Forum?
Should the World Council of Churches be replaced by a new
global forum of churches which could include the Roman Catholic Church and evangelical and
Pentecostal churches that are not currently members of the WCC? That is exactly what has
now been officially submitted to the WCCs 330 member churches with further
discussion at the September 1997 meeting of the WCCs central committee meeting in
Geneva, Switzerland. The WCC is in deep trouble both financially and spiritually. Their
plans are not biblical, and whatever action is proposed to rescue this ecumenical
organization will only deepen its apostasy. Any true believer who finds himself in a
church identified with it should immediately get out.

South Africa -
"Termination of Pregnancy Bill" [Abortion on Demand]
"THE TERMINIATION OF PREGNANCY BILL," recently
approved by the New South African Antrum Government, means that South Africans are now
able to have abortions on demand. This nation, which at one time was one of the world's
strongest opponents of abortion, is now among the most liberal nations in abortion policy.
Health Minister Nkosazama Zuma, South Africa's first black woman to hold that position,
proposed the bill which allows women and underage girls to have abortions on demand until
the 12th week of pregnancy. Abortions will also be permitted up to the 20th week of
pregnancy in cases involving physical or emotional risk, rape, sexual abuse or severe
socio-economic circumstances (Reuters, 10/15/96). As is true also in America today, the
South African womb has become a very dangerous place for a child to be. Those who pride
themselves in supposedly helping the victims of circumstances ought to take heed of how
God views their solutions. Proverbs 6:16, 17 states, "These six things doth the Lord
hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto Him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands
[this necessarily includes doctors who perform abortions] that shed innocent blood."

We just received an appeal letter from Christian Nadi,
parish priest in Imo State, Nigeria, in which he wrote, "Dearest in Christ, we are
not asking you for financial assistance but we humbly please request your immediate
assistance towards sending us a large number of Rosaries statues of our beloved Mother,
catholic holy bibles, crucifix, scapulars, prayer-books, medals and other religious
materials within your reach to enable us accomplish this heavenly obligations in serving
the Lord and His Mother as well as gaining more souls for them." These words are
typical of the false beliefs of millions of Roman Catholics around the world whose
greatest need is to hear and believe the one true Gospel of salvation by grace through
faith in Jesus Christ alone.

What is the National
Interfaith Cable Coalition?
It is a consortium of 64 Protestant, Jewish, Roman
Catholic and Eastern Orthodox groups which owns VISN Corporation. This company holds the
majority ownership of Odyssey, formerly Management known as the Faith and and is another
example of an unscriptural, ecumenical Values Channel, partnership which Gods Word
forbids.

What is the Prayer Walk Movement?
It is a relatively new program that is tied into the
Concerts of Prayer and the Marches for Jesus. A local laymen, Dutch Vandervoort, organized
this interdenominational movement in 1995. First called "Prayer Patrol," its
purposes are to pray for every household, house by house. Vandervoort says he
"envisions that this will be a time of unity among churches." Scriptural prayer
is important and extremely necessary, but this appears to be ecumenical prayer which is
unscriptural and helps to prepare the way for the one-world harlot church of the
antichrist.

Woman Rabbi Named Dean of Religious
Studies at USC
A WOMAN RABBI HAS JUST BEEN NAMED DEAN OF RELIGIOUS LIFE
AT THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA IN LOS ANGELES. As the first dean of religious
life at USC, Rabbi Susan Laemmie says she "plans to organize forums to tackle timely
subjects and link ostensibly secular issues to religion broadly construed and not limited
to established religions." This report by John Dart appeared in the August 31, 1996
edition of the Los Angeles Times. The article indicated that this woman was ordained a
Reform rabbi in 1987. USC was founded in 1880 as a Methodist school, but the Methodists of
that day would repudiate the school and its policies today. While this appointment will
please liberals of all kinds, as a Reform rabbi, Susan Laemmie does not even accept the
tenets of Orthodox Judaism. Thus, the drift away from the Truth and into error becomes
more pronounced on every hand and in every area of secular and religious life.
